well ... firstly, I guess appealing to the principal would be a natural reaction of any parent, ... but I won't speculate about just how effective a personal intervention from an MP would be ....

I have this feeling that it's more of the ass-kissers carrying balls rather than out-right nepotism at work though ... you should know, bear, how some officials would get all brown-nosed and such, pulling all stops for some VIPs eh ? ...

you should see the gutless wonders we call "senior management" run around like headless chickens when a letter from an MP or a Minister appears...

now, if an MP goes and asks about her son, think.. sycophants get promoted.. the people who can, do the work and rarely have time to go kiss ass to get promoted... so.. what will happen?

it takes 2 hands to clap...

but being an MP, i think she would bloody well know what will happen... if not, she's more idiotic than we gave her discredit for...

and if she does know, she's more manipulative and cynical then the people realise..

one of the fellas at work has an O-Level and is pretty high up in the ranks of senior officers... but he's an exception...

it's coz he can work very well and everyone respects him that he's got that rank and position...

but he's due for retirement soon..
